In others words watch it and enjoy it but be prepared for a crap ending. While watching this movie I realized how boring it could get.

But I never knew how bad an ending could be until it happened. My first main problem with this movie is Brady and Mack.

They were awful together in this movie and it made absolutely no sense. They changed Mack's characters completely and Brady stayed the same.

However the fact that Brady didn't want to tell Mack about making surf boards when they surf together! Second, the songs were terrible.

They were mediocre compared to the ones they made in the first one. None of them made me attached to the movie. Third, Lela is a movie character not a real person.

She would only know how to say her lines. She wouldn't know to change the story. And lastly, that messed up ending. Now she's more laid back to be with Brady.

Which I need to say is a terrible lesson to teach kids. Don't be yourself in a relationship, become exactly like the person you're with.

Overall, it's forgettable and the only thing worth it was Tanner and Brady. If this kind of film can only be seen at a certain age, it really feels silly to watch it now.

And although so happy is actually a horror movie, the characters in the film cross the real world but want to live in reality, but finally have to go back, very sad story.

And the hostess said that if they were together, there was no secret, no fear. This movie had its moments but it wasn't quite as good as the first. Some questions, and realize there are spoilers here.

You had the characters of the movie come into the real world. It would have been interesting to have those characters somehow come in contact with the actors that played them--who of course would be 53 years older.

It was a little unclear how much time passed between the first and second movies. It almost seemed as if it was like a week later at most.

Some more plot points. Again, heavy spoilers here. If it was possible to somehow change the movie at the end, from Wet Side Story to Lela: Queen of the Beach, and because of that, Mac and Brady never met, then Brady never had a Wet Side Story to love, and they never end up in that movie, and never meet Lela and Tanner.

If they never meet Lela and Tanner, then Lela never changes the movie. I think it would have made more sense if instead of reliving the movie, we followed the characters from the point AFTER Mac and Brady left.

Lela Queen of the Beach then could have been a sequel. Plus, I feel the ending cheats the audience a bit.

I get what they were trying to do, but the execution didn't work for me. I do hope they make a third movie though, and don't wait 2 years to do it.

There are more actors in this movie and a lot of songs the song of Sabrina carpenter is so great when they were dancing a slow dance it's full of energy the final scene was great but i think Mack should wear a longer skirt because it's too short she should wear more suitable clothes not a swim suit when she was dancing.

It's better than the original because the story is more powerful and funnier! The original film dealt with a pair of fans from today who think the original movie from the early Kennedy era Sixties is the greatest piece of cinema ever made.

Ross Lynch and Maia Mitchell step into the world of that movie and change things just by being there and then have to leave, but not before repairing all the damage they've done.

Teen Beach 2 is exactly the opposite. The lead characters from the film Garret Clayton and Grace Phipps step into the real world and their Sixties frame of mind gets quite a culture shock when they see the world of Pretty soon however the whole cast even the extras come over into the real world.

Like characters from the Holodeck of the Enterprise. And those folks meet an inevitable end when they venture beyond their Holodeck world.

Now it's Clayton and Phipps who turn things upside down and have to get back to their world. The film actually asks some intriguing questions but in the end you have to remember this is a Disney film and meant for juvenile audiences who don't think so terribly deep.

The performers are scrubbed clean and fresh and are attractive as you would expect anything from the Magic Kingdom to be.

It's obvious that Disney Studios is going to stretch this out like they did with the High School Musical series. Here's an interesting thought though.

In the movie if the real players who were Clayton and Phipps when they were younger, if they're not dead would now be even older than I am and on social security.

What if their selves met Clayton and Phipps? Turn that one over in your mind for a third Teen Beach movie. I was really excited for this movie because the first movie was amazing but Teen Beach 2 was kind of a let down.

Sure, you could argue. Some songs were catchy, it was a great storyline, some parts were funny and some parts were very touching but I do have my reasons for writing this review.

Firstly, the new people totally ruined the vibe, causing me to forget this movie was about characters. They were totally unnecessary! The movie was overall less bouncy and fun than the first one and was much less music.

The ending was my least favourite scene in the entire movie! So, you Referring to Disney just made me cry because Brady and Mack had a massive fight which was probably the aim but you make me die because they completely forget about each other?

The first movie was so much more Fun and up beat. Lucky that the sequel wasn't the first movie otherwise I'd have a lot more frustration for this movie.

I just hope there is a 3rd movie where everything goes back to normal meaning Mack and Brady remember each other and everything they've done together and the third has just as good a plot, just as good a storyline and the same actors and vibe as the first one.

Hunky Stud 12 February The sequel, Disney musical throw-back to the s beach blanket movies. TxMike 18 September I saw the first one, 'Teen Beach', about a year ago.

Back then I wrote in part, " I found it totally fun to watch, with its playing on the time-travel themes and real people influencing characters in a movie.

For what it is, for what it tries to do, it is a very nicely entertaining movie. Most of the cast are the same actors in the same roles but the time- travel reversed.

The young actors are talented and energetic and the movie has several nice singing and dancing production numbers. It is a nice throw-back to the beach movies of the s when I was an actual teenager.

In the first movie Ross Lynch as Brady and his new girlfriend Maia Mitchell as Mack are on the surf and magically get transported to their favorite movie, they have encounters with the characters, much as the twins do in "Pleasantville.

Much like in both "Pleasantville" and in "Purple Rose of Cairo" the characters only knew what was contained in the various scripts and had to learn most modern stuff anew.

Like what a cell phone is. And, like in "Back to the Future" where Marty's siblings started to fade from a photo when it looked like he might have messed up his parents' getting together, in this movie characters start to disappear when it looks like Lela and Tanner like their new world too much and might not travel back to the characters in the movie.

And there is yet another wrinkle, if they don't go back then the movie might never exist and Brady and Mack would never meet by never seeing the movie.

All of this is of course resolved by the end, and like in "Pleasantville", Mack and Brady tell the characters that they don't have to do what they always did, they can change things up.

The movie ends with an extravagant production number, the movie is playing on a big screen outdoors in the background while on the beach the cast are dancing and singing on the beach.

The real kids and the characters in the movie are doing the same moves, it comes across really well. I saw it on Netflix streaming.

Although I didn't particularly care for the first Teen Beach Movie, because it was boring and pretentious, I can say that the sequel is about the same.

The characters aren't interesting but no one in a Disney Channel movie is, so whatever , the story is kinda creative, but a little silly, so it's OK for an audience of Disney Channel watchers, and the songs are just ear wormy enough that you get them in your head, but only sometimes.

The plot is just a great idea: two teens fall in love in the summer, but their relationship falls apart when school comes.

Not only that, but they have some eccentric friends that have a problem that they want the two lovers to help them with.

So they try to help and keep their relationship intact as well. But then you throw a side plot about a fading movie, and, BOOM!

I say all the time that Disney Channel Movies are always recycled ideas that they make their own, and this movie proves it. But the good part about it is that the plot is the only main problem with the movie.

There are more and I know it, but the plot is the only one that I will care about. So, if you want a movie made out of Universal's table scraps and Disney-fied, this is a film for you.

If you want a sequel to a satire made by Disney Channel, then this is the movie for you. If you want a movie with a good plot and good characters, don't watch.

There comes a time when one decides to watch a Disney Channel movie because they want to watch something upbeat, cute and fun to pass the time.

That's how I ended up watching Teen Beach and was pleasantly surprised. I really liked the choreography, songs and the plot though highly unlikely was pretty good.

I liked it for what it was and was definitely interested in checking out the sequel. However, the sequel completely strips away everything I liked about the first, especially by canceling out the first movie by making the end of Teen Beach 2 rule out the complete existence of "Wet Side Story" and the leads Mack and Brady knowledge of the other's existence until they re- meet.

I liked the premise of the movie though of Mack and Brady going back to school and realizing the couple version of them in the summer is different from who they are in school.

Except, when the cast of "Wet Side Story" entered the scene - the whole movie went downhill. Don't get me wrong, I like the characters from "Wet Side Story" but the writers didn't know how to juggle the two alternate worlds very well and the objectives for the characters could have been better.

I hated how I felt this movie went in circles and didn't progress forward. Like how the songs from the first were re-featured, not in a new feeling way that could be applicable to a new situation but more for the sake of singing the song.

Or how the cast of "Wet Side Story" left the real world, then came back to the real world, only to have to leave again. Was that necessary? The earlier tensions between the leads basically dissolved on their own or had no substantial backing.

And, of course, I hated the ending! Mostly because the adventure of the first and second movie is completely wiped from the memory of the leads and they have to start all over again in their relationship because the movie "Wet Side Story" changed.

A Whole New Alternate Reality? In my opinion, this movie missed the mark. They had all the right tools formula of acting, singing, and dancing but didn't know how to use the equipment Sad, really.

I wish that Teen Beach Movie was left as a stand-alone or instead the "Wet Side Story" cast was drawn to the real world to show Mac and Brady they are meant to be together in their school lives, through substantial plot, while simultaneously learning about the real world themselves.

Oh Well! Another one bites the dust. I saw Teen Beach 2 only one time. The one time I saw it made me angry because it was a horrible movie.

All the songs were at best forgettable. If you thought Grease 2 was bad try watching this movie. In fact I wouldn't waste my time watching it at all.

That's two hours of my life I will never get back. There was absolutely no connection to the first movie.

There were WAY too many contradictions. Teen Beach 2 never should've been made at all. The first Teen Beach Movie was much better. It should've been a stand alone movie.

Give me the first Teen Beach Move any day. I totally, like totally loved the first movie, I even decorated my room inspired on it, bought everything I could find related to it and dyed my hair blond like Ross.

So that year I expected more or the same from tb2 What did I get? A nice story, I have to say, more feminism, but it seems the producers made it so much childish!!!!

The songs are for small children, some ridiculous "comedy scenes" like Tanner with a kitchen sink and everybody saying "Oh Tanner".

Like, my 6 year old sister laughed at it, differently from the first T. B which I found funny.

Cham, Jr. Brady then runs into Mack, and both are taken aback by how they act at school. Later, in marine biology class, Brady is working on designs for a surfboard, but hides it when Mack asks him what he's up to.

Mack then bumps into Spencer Watkins Ross Butler , who Alyssa said was the cutest guy in school, and Brady becomes defensive.

After school, Brady tries asks Mack to hang out, but Mack is too busy preparing for a "Save the Beach" dance. Mack reminds him about a college fair, and he promises he'll be there with Mack.

Brady struggles with a college application, so goes to work on a surfboard with Wet Side Story on in the background.

Lela Grace Phipps suggests she could help, breaking the movie's plot line, but Tanner gets Lela to back down, and the movie returns to normal, albeit with a visibly shaken Lela.

Later, Brady realizes he's late for the college fair, but by the time he gets there, the fair has ended. Mack and Brady argue about how Mack is so busy and Brady hides things from Mack, and they agree not to see each other until next summer "On My Own".

Tanner rushes out to see what's wrong with Lela, and she says she was changed by her encounter with Mack.

Lela then finds the necklace she gave Mack washed up on the beach, and Lela and Tanner go into the ocean, ultimately winding up in the present day real world, where they are stunned by all of the modern day advances.

Brady and Mack run into each other on the beach, still with tension, but they spot Lela and Tanner and reunite with them.

Mack and Brady debate telling them the truth after noticing that Tanner and Lela's hair can't get wet, but decide instead to show them that the real world isn't as great as it seems.

Nobody notices that a background character disappears as he enters Big Momma's. Brady and Mack bring Lela and Tanner to school, where their movie characteristics come out against Mack and Brady's cautions, culminating in a big musical number in the cafeteria "Turn That Frown Upside Down".

Lela becomes too enthralled with math homework to hang out with Tanner after school and goes to Mack's house, so Tanner hangs out with Brady, and they have a heart to heart — Tanner was worried that Lela came to this world because he wasn't enough for her.

Brady then alludes to his rough patch with Mack, and reveals that he's been working on unique surfboards; he says that Mack can't know because she might not get it, given her plans to go to college.
